The emergence of Cloud Computing has created a paradigm-shift in software development. It enables new projects to rapidly evolve from concept to production, and existing systems to be enhanced and extended into hybrid applications. The Microsoft Azure platform provides a broad range of services that are constantly evolving, and are rapidly becoming a vital part of today’s development and operations.Mer information & fakta
Do you possess the skills and knowledge to leverage these new technologies and services?
The Azure Academy is an intensive training program created by experts who are experienced in delivering solutions on the Azure platform. The training sessions are comprised of lectures, discussions, hands-on labs and group activities. As an attendee you will be taught the theory of designing and building cloud-based applications and then reinforce that knowledge with open ended challenge style hands-on labs. Azure experts and community leaders Alan Smith, Robert Folkesson, Jakob Ehn and Peter Örneholm will provide in-depth coverage of the services and technologies that they leverage on a daily basis to deliver customer solutions.
On completion of the course, you will not only understand the theory but be able to translate it into delivering effective, scalable and reliable cloud-based applications.
The training will consist of three two-day courses. You can attend all three courses for a discounted price, or choose just one or two courses.
Other Azure Academy courses:
Processing workloads and batches and utilizing serverless computing services
This module will focus on the compute services on the Azure platform. The serverless computing services will be covered, along with guidance for building and microservice architectures. It will also cover leveraging the on-demand provisioning and massive scalability of Azure cloud services to process batch jobs and compute intensive tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Asynchronous processing with Azure Web Jobs
- Workload processing with Azure Batch
- Serverless computing with Azure Functions
- Microservice architectures with Durable Functions
- Integration and workflow using Azure Logic Apps
- Lab: Flat-file processing with Azure Logic Apps
- Lab: Microservice development with Azure Functions
Deploying and monitoring applications with zero downtime
In this module we will look at how we can safely and efficiently deploy, test and monitor cloud applications in Azure, using DevOps practices such as Infrastructure as Code and Continuous Delivery and testing in production.
- Overview of application and infrastructure deployment options in Azure
- Deploying infrastructure using ARM template deployments
- Setting up a deployment pipeline using Visual Studio Team System
- Continuous performance testing using VSTS Load Tests
- Monitoring application performance metrics and usage with Application Insights
- Monitoring resources and environments using Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
The target audience for the Azure Academy is developers who are experienced with building solutions using Microsoft technologies. Some basic experience with some of the Azure services is merited, but not required.
